Villa Capra 'La Rotonda'

Villa Capra 'La Rotonda' is a Renaissance villa in Vicenza, northern Italy, designed by Andrea Palladio. The correct name is Villa Almerico-Capra. It is also known as La Rotonda, Villa Rotunda, Villa La Rotonda. The name 'Capra' derives from the Capra brothers, who completed the building after it was ceded to them in 1591. Like other work by Palladio in Vicenza, it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.The site selected was a hilltop just outside the city of Vicenza. Then and for centuries to follow, it was fashionable to be what is today called 'a gentleman farmer'; buoyed by arcadian values, prosperous Italians wished to enjoy 'the simple life.' As a single man, Almerico had no need of a vast Palazzo but wished for a sophisticated Villa, and this is exactly what Palladio poduced for him.

Villa Valmarana ai Nani

Villa Valmarana to Nani is a Venetian villa located in the city of Vicenza, on the ground of Monte Berico. Properties of Valmarana noble family, is still partly inhabited by the family. It is characterized by stone sculptures representatives of dwarfs, once scattered in the park, now aligned on the wall (hence the nickname by which he is known). The villa is located within walking distance from the Villa Capra called Round of Palladio. Vicenza

Vicenza is a city in northern Italy, is the capital of the eponymous province in the Veneto region, at the northern base of the Monte Berico, straddling the Bacchiglione. The city has an active and lively industrial sector, which is especially famous for jewelry and clothing factories. The Gold Exposition is world-famous and it takes place in Vicenza three times per year (January, May, September).

Villa Fracanzan Piovene

Villa Fracanzan Piovene is one of the most interesting historic homes in the Veneto region. Built in 1700 by Francis Muttoni, baroque architecture, is at the center of a large complex of ancient buildings. Famous is the kitchen, with its collection of arms el'acquaio red marble that Napoleon wanted to bringe to the Louvre. Rooms with four-poster beds, living room of the plebiscite and billiards, large halls and dining rooms, furniture and witnessed the history of centuries past.
